Infrafon CC1

Our tiny CC1 weighs only 50g, is similar to credit card size and is equipped with a highres 600x480 pixel interactive epaper screen. All functions known from smartphones can be managed OTA remotely and centrally by operator. The holder can interact by multiple provided dataview tasks or answer questions, There is no unwanted access to device´s functional setup details. This Infrafon principle grants stability and efficiency of operator´s desired process.

Unparalleled Connectivity

Besides unparalleled CC1 communication skills like WiFi, Bluetooth, LoRa, NB-IoT and NFC, operators can locate CC1 by GNSS (GPS), in-door BLE and even optional UWB Apple Airtag. CC1 can open doors by NFC, pay or monitor holder´s body movements. Unlike smartphones with device based Operating System, Infrafon operates as an Always Connected Terminal, managed by a server- (cloud) based operating system (IES). Security and efficiency by architecture is the benefit for the operator.

Security and Reliability

Infrafon CC1 functions are managed centrally by operator. No switch or key allows unwanted behaviour at no point of the journey. This philosophy secures the efficiency of any process. User interaction works only via capacitive touch screen and 3 capacitive navigation buttons. A wide range of functions instead can be managed centrally, For example: A server task can create alerts, when CC1 is detected in forbidden areas or hours as well as fall in sleep mode when a predefined setup rule is in place. Communication via WiFi, BLE, LoRa or LTE-M can be strongly encrypted via certificate stored securely in Secure Element NXP SE050. Access to even highly protected networks should be no problem.

smart Firmware instead of heavy OS

Infrafon CC1 is embedding a smart firmware, the device operates without the weight of a complex Operating System like Android or IOS. This revolutionary and patented interactive Terminal technology approach makes it easier for involved parties to build, test, run, and certify the whole system, Open Source strategy and µPython language besides the comfortable IES (Infrafon Entity Server) grant flexibility known from IoT architecture and connect the system to 3rd party applications. Standards like MQTT help the device to interact with further ecosystems i.e. to use Infrafon CC1 as a communication device and connect with a PABX in order to replace analog or digital pagers. Infrafon Expansion Modules

Infrafon is offering an unmatched flexibility not only by our IES management Server approach or µPython use. We designed Infrafon CC1 as a platform for further modular expansions, both made by ourselves or third party partners. A patented power management solution makes sure to operate any certified small electronics directly powered by CC1 main LiPo battery. As an Infrafon partner you can design your special communication, sensoring or measuring device. Plug and unplug by rail and clip into the Infrafon device and connect to the world. QR code & imager Module

Zebra SE4100 powered 2D QR code reader expansion module allows to read, interprete and transmit data from 1D/2D codes or take imager pics and deliver to IES backend for further processing by 3rd party apps. Take advantage of Infrafon endless communication strength and transmit by LoRa, where no public network is available. A hospital asked us to create this module to read Patient QR coded wrist bands to grant Patient ID.

Extended Audio Module

Infrafon itself is equipped with a Buzzer and Vibrator, but if extended audio features are requested like recording voice messages, play messages, sounds or very loud alerts, this can be a useful expansion clip. We have designed the module on hospital customer request in order to monitor background sound and to alert in case of certain noise characteristics by MQTT backend analysis.

Precise localization Module

Apple UWB RTLS Airtag can be embedded to this clip. Indoor localizitaion of Infrafon CC1 in the range of few centimeters. Use case: Order a drink with Infrafon, service staff, equipped with IOS device and RTLS can localize guest very precisely and deliver the drink even in crowded situations.

Desktop Charger

The USB-C charger is made to be placed on a desktop, Infrafon CC1 can be placed and recharged easily. LED shows function and charge mode. Remark: USB-C cable and AC Adapter optional

Lanyard clip

This little clip allows you to wear Infrafon easier. Soon available is a belt or pocket clip.

10 x Charging Station

For work teams or visitor reception desks it can be useful to supply workers or visitors with this manual bulk CC1 charger. Remark: USB-C cable and AC adapter optional.

Self-Service Terminal

Patient, staff member, visitor or guest checks in at this Self-Service Terminal. A few seconds later, a fully customized and personalized Infrafon CC1 device, with all necessary digital journey content loaded, will automatically be handed out.

Certified biometric ID authentication makes sure, that automatic device allocation, data storage and personalized data is safe. Beside Badge ID data, planned journey details, appointments, inquiries, language and a lot more can be now displayed and interactively managed by the card holder or by operators applications. No matter if the journey will last for weeks, days or hours, communication with Backend and operator is granted by WiFi, LoRa or NB-IoT.

The Infrafon Entity Server (IES)

The IES Server is the heart of the Infrafon Eco System, it connects the application backend with the entity databases, the dispensors, displays and all handheld devices.

Operated as on-premise VM or as a Cloud Service, IES is controlling one single device or many fleets of Infrafon and makes sure to connect with the right application data of our ISV partners. Every ISV can create processes or any other digitalized environment. IES also connects via REST API to Check-In Kiosk application, Infrafon Dispenser and other types of system devices like screens, smartphone Apps and all possible IoT sensors in operators environment. We welcome solution providers to become our ISV partners, to Co-market IES based Applications and OS extensions.
